In an attempt to grow and equip a workforce of professionals who promote psychological wellbeing with individuals, families and communities in diverse settings, SACAP has designed the Masters (MSocSci) degree in Community Mental Health Promotion as part of our Applied Psychology offerings.

This 2 year, part-time masters degree truly speaks to what is needed in a South African context. The programme seeks to advance scholarship/research that is orientated around a relevant community psychology and equip leaders with strategic capabilities in order to pioneer, promote and drive initiatives to address the urgent mental health needs that our country faces.

Note: Intake into the MSocSci (Community Mental Health Promotion) is limited to 20 students per campus per year in order to ensure the integrity of SACAP’s educational philosophy in the context of this programme. SACAP's Masters Degree in Community Mental Health Promotion is only offered at our Johannesburg and Cape Town campuses.
