Gain the skills to create meaningful change in South Africa with the Masters Degree in Community Mental Health Promotion
Communities throughout South Africa are facing numerous multifaceted mental health challenges. However, there is a substantial gap between the scope of these challenges and the mental health resources available to address them.
In an attempt to grow and equip a workforce of professionals who promote psychological wellbeing with individuals, families and communities in diverse settings, SACAP has designed the Masters (MSocSci) degree in Community Mental Health Promotion as part of our Applied Psychology offerings.
This 2 year, part-time masters degree truly speaks to what is needed in a South African context. The programme seeks to advance scholarship/research that is orientated around a relevant community psychology and equip leaders with strategic capabilities in order to pioneer, promote and drive initiatives to address the urgent mental health needs that our country faces.
